"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple."

Where, oh where, is your confidence?

Sweet Sisters!

Welcome aboard the luxurious cyberspace-liner!  I am thrilled you are here!

The title is ever so true!  New things!  New things to honor the Father!!!!
Am I prepared to make a fool of myself?  Real?  Transparent?  I had to take a deep breath and dive in.  So can you!!!!  WhoHoo!!! Jump in!
Conclusion:  The Father equips and equips well!

Hebrews 3:6  (ESV) but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son.  And we are his house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.

A)  Test yourself to see if your hope is in God!
                     What do you default to?
B)  Test yourself to see if you have confidence in God?
I do not like this but thank you, Father for what I am experiencing!
C)  Do you look to God for your security and future?

So, share your thoughts!

Love you!
Olda

  1. I will confess that I was hesitant to commit to something that I have had difficulty doing in the past. Scripture doesn't stick in my head easily, at least in the form we're used to seeing and/or using in church situations. "I am so sorry that you're having to walk through this and I have some encouragement for you. Ephesians 47: 9 says......" Even I know that Ephesians doesn't have 49 chapters, but you get my point. I've been more one who could say, "The Bible says that we are never alone. God promises He will never leave or forsake us," but I couldn't tell you exactly where it is. (although I could find if quite quickly if asked - my Bible is highlighted and written all over!) So, when we were asked to actually memorize Scripture, which I assumed meant book and verse as well, I balked for a little bit. Once Olda assured me that meditating on the Scriptures was fine too, I dove in. Imagine my surprise when the verses I chose (Acts 17:24-25) stuck in my head the first try! I can recite them for you if you'd like; it's really, really in my head!

I encourage all of us to trust He will walk through this journey with us. Because, as you know, Ephesians 49:7 says.... :-)

  2. Dear Sisters in Faith,

The Lord has led me to meditate on and hopefully memorize some verses about Love in 1John 4:7 Dear friends, let us love on another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 16, second part-God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. Karen Newsm
